The default configuration is located in the Config folder within the Flow installation:
%APPDATA%\Autodesk\Inventor 20xx\Addins\Flow\Config
Replace 20xx with the customer's Inventor version, for example 2026.
Shared configuration folder
Flow can point to a different local or shared configuration folder. The Flow_Global.xml file tells Flow where to load the configuration from. A shared configuration folder is recommended for teams, so that all users work with the same properties, lists and panels.
Distribution through Vault
Vault can be used to distribute the configuration, for example:
$/CAD Setup/Flow
Each workstation points to the same configuration through the local Vault workspace.
Important reminders
- Inventor must be restarted after changing the configuration folder.
- Inventor should be closed when the XML configuration is copied or replaced.
