Colour

Accent colours are used in the Property Edit panel for visual feedback about what kind of document is being edited.

Each colour represents a document category, such as Part, Sheet Metal, Assembly, Drawing, or custom document categories like Layout Drawing or Electrical Assembly.

Every category can be given its own accent colour under Configuration > Colour:

• Click a category’s swatch to open a colour picker.
• Set light-mode and dark-mode colours separately, so the accent stays legible in either Inventor theme.
• Use Reset all colours to clear custom colours and return to the Inventor theme defaults.

The category accent is used by the panel header, group indicators, and the Active / Selected scope pill.
